The Dry Grass Pleated Wrap Skirt

Story.

When a warm wind moves across the fells in late summer, the dry grass bends together in one calm, repeating rhythm. It is a quiet visual cue that makes you stop and want to stay in that exact moment. This skirt was made to capture that movement and feeling through sharp, uniform pleating.

Engineered as a wrap piece inspired by traditional blanket wraps. Instead of buttons or zippers, it fastens simply with two fabric ties attached to each side, allowing you to secure it naturally at your preferred waistline. The structured cloth holds the sharp crease of the pleats while giving the skirt enough weight to swing and open gently as you walk.

Design and Details.

Pleats: Uniform knife pleats designed to echo the direction and continuous rhythm of tall dry grass in the wind.

Fastening: Overlapping blanket wrap construction secured with two side ties.

Fit: Adjustable high-waist wrap that adapts to layering over shirts or tucked-in knitwear.
