Story.
I see Herdwick sheep every day out running the fells. They stay outside through the wind, cold, and rain, completely at home on the ridges. This piece came out of wanting to capture that presence in a simple, warm wool layer.
The base is cut from dense, wind-blocking boiled wool. The sheep motif is drawn by hand, cut from double-faced Japanese wool fleece, and blind-stitched onto the front entirely with a hand needle. There are no machine stitches on the silhouette, allowing the wool to drape naturally without stiff seams.
The neck, cuffs, and hem are all turned and finished invisibly on the inside by hand.
