October Flower

This mini dress can bring to surface a childhood gift and memory. In my early years I was naturally accessing my inner creator through these flower type accessories I was making from recycled wool clothing items. Now with this updated version of myself I was drawn to reintegrate those moments into a different, relevant and more refined form.
My vision was to focus more on volumes and play around that as a starting point. This is how this dress saw the light of creation.  Made from 100% British wool, this mini dress with its fallen and wrinkled sleeves creates both a relaxed and timeless look. This simplicity is met with the statement element of flower that can be detached and worn on the shoulder or anywhere as a brooch.

Poem

As I meticulously cut these old woollen fabrics

I allow my creative flow to be my vessel;

I witness its previous life dissolving

through my hand and mind’s vision

I become the life giver

of a new creation;

I’ve naturally built a bridge

between a child and a master

between that girl standing on the floor

and this fully grown-up skilful woman;

I rejoin them with grace

and these merged forces

get tainted with both innocence and the rarest refinement;

I walk and carry myself fully adorned with these forces,

I naturally attract more females with the same thirst,

for beauty, timelessness, grace and sincerity;
